Digital beggars
A dozen of destruction proof boom boxes scattered throughout the city.
In urban areas where begging has been banned, Dries Verhoeven installs (aluminum replicas of) boom boxes that sing and beg for change.
The boom boxes needed to be weather and destruction proof and be able to start in sync and keep in sync during the day without being physically connected.
The boom boxes use custom electronics and an Arduino controlled audio player and a custom starter tool.
